What is the difference between the 2 iTunes 99c downloads? There is a LOT of difference in the revenue there.....

Do you mean the album & the single track one or the grey & pink chart.
The grey pie chart is the amount the record company get

As a CD buyer I am generating more revenue for the artists than tens of thousands of Spotify users.

CDBaby MP3 download via iTunes, 99c, 0c for the label 57c for the musician
Amazon iTunes track download, 99c, 63c for the label, 9c for the musician

Ah, I see that now.

IIRC cdbaby allow artists to upload directly to them without needing a record company to get involved.

They charge a fee per song you upload to store it on their servers & a yearly maintenance fee IIRC

Looking at the different methods I might change my buying to ensure the artist gets a higher revenue. Can we buy CDs from CDbaby?
