Europe reboots... Data is not complete... France is largely missing... even so it's a fascinating glimpse into how busy our skies usually are. Spot the apparently circular flight over the Netherlands quite early in airspace-closure (Lufthansa test?) and the similar one over the middle of the UK (BA?). And there's a weird flight out of Scotland to the North Sea and back (another test, presumably..but by whom? The Met Office?). The night skies are so much less clear now ![]() Methinks there should be mandatory flight bans regularly - perhaps even once a week ![]() |

I would imaging the mysterious flights from Scotland into the north sea are to oil rigs and would be helicopters rather than planes for obvious reasons. It does drive home how much of an air hub the London airports are though. |
