When do you brush your teeth in the morning?
Before or after breakfast.
The question was asked by a friend of mine on Facespace and I seem to be the only one who answered after.

I agree with Alex. Why flavour your cornflakes with mint?

What if you eat Rask for breakfast?? It tastes meaty and cleans your teeth...well, I think it's intended for the dog, but it could work!

I don't eat breakfast, so I guess that would mean my answer would be "before my first meal of the day" but that could be lunch, or, more regularly, my evening meal is the first time I eat in the day.

Ditto - although to be honest the first is more of a rinse and "wake up mouth" kind of thing - and only then do I have a coffee for brekkie.

Surely when you eat your first meal of the day, even if it is at lunchtime, you are "breaking the fast" therefore that would be your... breakfast! </pedant>

Before. The plaque bacteria are so efficient at converting sugars into acid that the only effective way to reduce the effect is to reduce the number of bacteria before exposing them to food. Or so I understand anyway. If you do it after the acid has already started to form and is attacking your teeth, in which case you are brushing away your enamel. Trust me, I'm a scientist.
