As the title says, have you guys noticed that our new meeting place seems as least as busy/active/lively as the old one even though X404 is brand new? We already have over 1000 posts, loads of members (most of which have come over from "the other side")? I guess it's because a lot of old-timers have come over but it's looking really good and I'm glad the community has stayed a live and in fact, improved.

It is busy indeed, it will probalby settle down after a while. I am in a good mood today so I have 16 posts in three or so hours but it might change and I might not post anything for weeks. But I will always come back, I promise

Yeah nice and busy, I think the issue will be attracting new members more than anything. People looking for PC forums and searching around those lines won't be brought in from google searches.

It's not really surprising to find such a hubbub surrounding the launch of our rebel forum. I can see there being plenty of spamming in the race for people to become the new Mark.

I've added the URL to the flickr group, so you may get a few click-through's that way. There's also a last.fm group, but I don't have control of that one. I'm sure there are plenty of bloggers, facebookers and twitterer's to provide links/traffic....

Ok, I've updated the Last.fm page as best I can. We now have a link from there to here at least. I think everybody on it has already made the transition though.

Over 120 users in less than 24 hours is extremely good going, and what with everyone chipping in to try and get the place a few more hits, we'll be overtaking the likes of the unmentionables in no time!

It's always lively at the beginning of a new board. But once all the usual topics are covered, things start to thin out. Initial popularity is good, but it's all about staying power!
