He was on the telly when I went to bed at about 12:30 last night, and he’s still on this morning. He looks very tired.

David Dimbleby should hold a putsch.

I like he doesn't stand for any nonsense. Unlike Paxman, who hectors a subject into submission, Dimbleby tells people off most politely. I like that.

Thanks, I could have looked it up, but I'm still a little sleepy...

Now that I have this little nugget of information in my head, let's do a little mis-quoting...

He was on until 0200. That was the last I saw him continuously. Then I saw him again at 0400, 0500 and 0800. So I'm guessing no, he doesn't sleep. Jeremy Vine seems to have gotten some sleep. The woman with the touchscreen and her buddy were all present at the aforementioned times, as was the old guy analyst sat with David. When you get a wide shot of them with the screen of a field correspondent, you can see the wrappers and coffee cups next to them both on a little table :)

I think they should do a drugs test at the BBC this morning. :D

I doubt they'd want to do that on any given day, let alone today :).

I have this picture of Dimbleby chugging Redbull shots off camera and going “buzz” now.

.....and he's off air. Good for him. Legendary broadcast. I'm having a latte right now and starting to flag myself and I probably had 2 or 3hrs.

Well, you know how good computer generated visual can be these days. I'd say Mr. Dimbleby was computer generated at at least one point in the evening.

Thing is, forget sleep. What about bathroom breaks. Do you reckon he was doing a Jack Bauer?

He spoke to most of the correspondents on the big screen, so I reckon he had to leg it whilst either Paxman or Vine were on it.
