Bit suprised Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonlahor havent made it to the list, Joe Hart is a good choice but not sure about Green over Robinson

Yeah, I must admit I had Agbonlahor down as an almost certainty, given his recent form. Ashley Young? I can't say I really have an opinion, as to be honest he's not a player I've noticed through the season.

Unless Ledleys knees are in better condition than they were, he could be too high a risk once we get into the knockout stage (optimism there when not if  ), as IIRC a player going with a known problem and then having to pull out means you cant replace them.

Plus wont somebody put hesky down, its just cruelty to dumb animals

That´s a strong 11 but a weak squad, that said I think it´s good enough to have a chance of winning the entire competition, here be my predicition for the overall winners: England :)

You optimistic fool. Anyone with any football knowledge knows we will go out after a glorious flourish by the ignomious penalty shoot out.

TBF I thought exactly the same thing until very recently but Ledley played in Spurs' last three games, which took place over 8 days. It looks to me like he can do the job if he's called upon. I'd still not want him as our only backup mind.

Thumbs up for taking Adam Johnson rather than Downing...

Just as an aside, when we play the USA, see if a guy called Stuart Holden plays in their midfield. He should have played for us this season but only got one game (in which he was MoM) then had his leg broken playing against Holland in a friendly. He came back for the second half at the weekend and looked pretty good, at least as good as Jack 'future of England' Wilshere. Could cause us a problem if we don't have a decent DM.

That's a good point Jon, as Chris said, it's a good 11 but a questionable squad. I'm still not sure how long Rooney's ankle/foot is going to last.

All I know is, I can't wait for it to start, also, is anyone going to be available to get on here during the weekday games? Because I'll be at work and need the scores!!!

I will be in Bolivia and unless I'm on a farm without any internet, then I could provide constant updates if you so wish, as no-one will get me to do anything else if an England game is on, and I'll try to watch as many other games as possible. I just hope that I'll always be near a telly.

Samir Nasri not in the French squad. I can't believe it - I know he isn't like in France, but I'd still think they would at least take him with!

Hopefully this will be Theo's moment to shine - I feel a little sorry for him. He is a really good impact sub, but wants to be so much more. Must be hard for him.

That's be awesome mate! As I say I'll hopefully only need it for those games that are being played on weekdays (in the evening/afternoon in the UK) because it'll be sometime in the morning on the next day for me.

Appreciated!

There are plenty of websites that will give live scores and text commentary?

There are, but not all of those websites are accessible from work. (Or descreet enough to be able to have in the corner of the screen while working)

World Cup Fantasy football game, if there´s enough interest I´ll get a league going, or if anyone else wants to do the honours. There´s no budget restriction so it´s pretty much choose all the players who you think are gonna rock *horns*. My 11 is picked.

Hmm - you just got me thinking about a nice little project to make text commentary available via SSH.

That would be mighty 8-) .
