Post subject:  Shaking loose the "other place"

Since getting my Crackberry I've started to make positive actions towards a simpler, less-cluttered electronic life - starting first with unscribing from the umpteen number of email newsletters I get on a weekly basis.... the thing is, I can't seem to be able to shake off the custompc + bit-tech. My (now ancient) login details don't appear to work, nor does their password reset feature... anyone else ever have the same problem?

I could just email them I guess - it would have taken just as long as this thread starter - but still...

Would it be possible to setup a filter on their e-mails so they are automatically deleted/archived/marked as junk?

CPC logins weren't carried over to bit-tech.

You'd need to use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email they send to you.

Yeah, and that sends me here: http://www.subsinfo.co.uk/ - but I can't find the "password" anywhere on any of the newsletters! :evil:

The password is printed above your address on your magazine subscription.

How about replying with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line. I think they have to remove you then.

...turns out, according to Editor Alex Watson's email earlier today, it was a broken bit of code. Which has now been fixed and I am now unsubscribed. JOY! :D

My experience with the people I worked with over there (from the CPC team and the promo team when I organised the MS Office competition) was that they were all decent people

Seems the higher up powers that be weren't though.

Funnily enough since the switch happened I haven't bought an issue of CPC
