If not, anybody caught driving with one of them in their car should be banned for life. Not just from driving. From being in any form of transport, even as a passenger.

How long before this descends into a huge huge argument on using mobile phones while driving? Frankly I consider myself more than capable of picking up my phone and working out whether the noise it has just made is important or not. But that's me.

This is not new - apparently, the original Citroen 2CV’s steering wheel was used as a book rest by French peasants.

How long before someone causes a crash and the airbag shoves the ipad right through his face?

Using it while driving is simply crazy, though I would imagine here that you could get done for driving without due care and attention. Though when parked it might actually be useful. Though would you need it enough to buy?
