Somehow, I can't see qwerty being dumped anytime soon. 99% of peeps have better things to do than re-learn how to type.
Suggestion - 3D movies. It's just another excuse to make crap films with no real substance, safe in the knowledge that people will flock in their millions to see it.

I dont agree with some of it. Non-rechargable batteries are extremely useful as are inkjet printers. As for replacing bulbs with energy saving ones in my experience some (even the more expensive ones) give off rubbish light.
I would like to add external speakers on mobile phones to the list. if I have to hear one more 'grime' track on the bus on my way to work or lyrics containing the words "f*****g b***h ass n****r" one more time I may have to throw myself from the top deck.
Also anything related to the new '3D revolution' can go in the bin too. The 3D doesnt impress me, the technology is too expensive and I dont want to look like an idiot wearing those glasses at home. I also fear everything will now be made for 3D and he gimmick of the tech will take over from genuine good product design.

That's my current opinion as well. Hopefully I'll not have it reinforced at the end of the year when I see TRON : Legacy. Mark

I agree with all of it - especially the bit about keyboards. I'd add - uncased storage media such as CDs & DVDs. They're just way too easy to scratch.
- MP3 - it's pants
- Baby monitors
- Nuclear weapons - just because.

3D in Avatar was amazing. 3D elsewhere - shank. Bit of a rant really, in places. Qwerty's not going anywhere, stop bloody moaning and learn to use your mouth to communicate not the keyboard on your phone. I've had a universal remote for years. They're out there if you want to pay for them or get a decent enough AV amp. What does it matter about the wwws? You wanna go back to AOL with "keywords". My first computer is it? Grow a pair.

Yeah, why are we still typing on our computers? Why aren't we all talking to our PCs like they do in sci-fi movies?

Whenever 3D is mentioned it's always me and you. (8+) I'm trying not to be too negative towards 3D until I've seen TRON 2 at the end of the year. By that stage it will have had a full year of being assessed out in the cinemas and we'll be able to see the lay of the land a little better. Anyway, I digress … Mark

It would be better if you threw the phone owner off the top deck.

The people at the place I'm working at do talk to their computers. Well, I say "talk", but obviously I mean "scream obscenities at" because they are always "too slow"

You and I forever man xxx 0(8-) You're allowed to be negative. I am sometimes I just think we need to distinguish between 3D for 3Ds sake, and 3D shot and conceived projects. (That said I loved Up in 3D, but due to a woman I may never be able to watch it again....) I enjoyed the original Tron, but I'm not enough of a fanboy to be excited about 2. Maybe the implementation will be amazing, and it could be the new Avatar in terms of immersion, but I wasn't blown away by the original.
