Just been playing on Wolfram Alpha.

I started thinking about the theory of relativity and wanted to get some real world numbers out of it.

I weigh around 90kg so I put in "relativistic energy in 90kg mass".

It turns out I have 5.049x10^37 eV (electron volts) of energy stored inside me. Doesn't really mean a lot to me so I thought I'd convert it...

"5.049x10^37 eV in kwh"...

That's 2.247 trillion kwh!!!

Equivalent to 0.6 times the total energy production of the USA for the entire year 2001!!!

That's a hell of a lot of energy!

Excellent. I’ll chuck you on the fire.

That would be the c squared bit.

can't remember ascii for up arrow.

Yes but that is only if you are totally obliterated when you meet your anti-Fogmeister. If you were radioactive then you would only release about 4% or less in energy. In chemical energy terms it would be far less.

Ooh!

Is that like the bit in Prince of Persia when he jumps through the mirror!!!

:D

So that's about 1,720,000 kT of TNT....

And suicide bombers need to add explosives? They're doing it wrong, surely.

No.... it is a brilliant plan. Tell them that is the way to do it, and they will spend so long researching, trying to make it possible, that by the time they have cracked it, they will have forgotten what they were fighting about..... maybe....

And if they do, we can create power stations where we can farm them destroy small animals.

The amount of power that could be produced would be amasing!

Yes farming them. ;) Into the chamber for your 72 virgins. :D

Why not just use the terrorists? Two birds, one stone etc.

That would make us dependant on the middle east again. This time for terrorists. :D

I dunno, we could always use the Irish. Or animal rights groups. Even some Green-peace folk.

Instead of cremations and burials, we could release the true energy of a dead person in our shiny new power plant?
