If you're talking traditional type sweets ("I'll have a 1/4 of that jar there please shopkeep") then Cola Cubes, those traditional cough sweets, choc-lic (and its variations of crushed up M&Ms, Lion Bars and the like - chocolate nibbles) were some of my favs. I like various of the jellies including Cola Bottles, Beer Bottles, Milkshakes, Cherry Cola Bottles, Fried Eggs, Giant Strawberries and more! I could go on and on I think. I guess my childhood was spent in the sweet shop! I think I might need to place an order!! http://www.thetraditionalsweetshop.com/

Cough Candy were my alltime favourites, followed by bullseyes and pear drops, but I loved the refresher bars as well and black jacks which I could eat by the ton!! I was sick more than once from eating sweets

And adulthood at the dentist? *counts fillings* Now regretting all those Black Jacks and Fruit Salads....and sweet cigarettes! Anybody else seen them? They gave away a small collector's card from the TV show UFO in each pack! Any card featuring Interceptors or purple-haired Moonbase babes was very sought after!

True story. I last went to the dentist when I was 15-16 and at that point had not had a single filling. I'm now 31 and Nicola made me sign up. I went 2 weeks ago and found the dental work I now need as a result is............. nothing. Ok a scale and polish but thats routine stuff. They even did and Xray to find the cavities that werent visable on the surface and found nothing. I must have super teeth! Note:- In a bid to extract [pun?] money from me the dentist decided on my return visit yesterday - once the Xray showed nothing! - that a slight 'shadow' on my tooth maybe needs exploring. He wants to drill away at it to have a look and fill it afterwards. [LIFTED] off

I remember buying them after swimming from the vending machine. About a foot long back then, 10p and guaranteed to rip your fillings out.
