So I has a damn pesky mouse that I spotted today near the fridge. I pulled out the fridge and there are some droppings behind there, but I've checked around the rest of the kitchen (cupboards, behind washing machine bins etc) and can't find any other signs so I produced the following schematic: ![]() As you can see, I've taken the high technology approach and produced a very elegant solution to this problem. I have built a prototype and deployed it in the kitchen, just next to the fridge. |

So what is your testing strategy? Are you going to perform white and black box tests? ![]() |

I wonder if the mouse has heard of Schroedinger. There is a low probability that if it bangs it's head against teh plastic often enough, it will quantum jump to freedom. |

Do you consider Scottish people to be vermin, brataccas? ![]() ![]() I bought four B&Q value catch and kill traps today. I'm still hoping that my home made trap is the one that catches the little critter! ![]() |

WE have cats. They catch mice, and at odd times rats. All catches get eaten with very few exceptions. |

I am allergic to cats, unfortunately - so that's out of the question for me! Neither my (awesome) home-made trap, or the shop bought ones have so far successfully caught this mouse. I think I might have scared it away when I saw it initially - I went in and moved everything around being very noisey, and even smacked a brush up against the walls/floor/cupboards/fridge etc to try and scare it away. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the look of me that scared it away - I have the look of a mouse killer. I killed one at work one night whilst cleaning - I disturbed it and it ran out infront of me as I was sweeping the floor. One swift, firm stroke into the wall and it was dead. |

Chocolate is the best bait for mice. Can't remember why but it does work. |

You can get hypoallergenic cats for people like you. You'll have to be prepared to put your hand in your pocket though. |

Where did you place it? Mice like to run along walls (IIRC you can see their trails as their urine (which they leak) shows up under UV light) so if it's not flush to a wall you wont have much luck |
