On behalf of onemac.

OK peeps - another month and voting is now open midnight on Monday 12th July so get those little grey cells moving and cast your vote now :D

The rules:

* Voting occurs for one week from midnight on the last day of each month until midnight on the seventh day of the month.
This month has been extended due to a late start to the voting.

* Please vote for your favourite three images.

* You cannot vote for your own image*

Your 1st choice will be awarded 5 points.
Your 2nd choice will be awarded 3 points.
Your 3rd choice will be awarded 1 point.

If there is a draw on say for example 15 points, then the image with the least number of votes will win, such that an image with 3 votes for 5 points will defeat the image with 5 votes for 3 points. It won't be the '2nd best' for everyone, but it will be the 'best' for the few. If it's good enough for a Grand Prix then it is good enough for here.

Please try and keep this thread for votes only, it will make it easier for me to tally up later. If you must comment on images and decisions then please do so in the original thread (once it is unlocked).

This thread will run for 1 week only closing at midnight on Monday 12th July. At that time the winner will have the option of choosing the next theme, and the deadline for entries to that theme will be the end of the current month.

Most importantly, good luck to all entrants.

Al

With a very limited number of entries do we really need a full week for voting? :?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

That's unfortunate, my entry doesn't appear to have gone in despite (just) having been submitted in time.
Ah well, never mind, t'was a bit of a tenuous link anyway.

That'll be my fault, sorry.
It's just that with onemac being away, I wanted to get the voting done early enough to allow time for photos to be taken for teh July competition.

1 Give them a hand
2 What I think

The other one doesn't deserve a vote.

1st - Faux Patriotism
2nd - Give them a hand
3rd - A vote of my support to Germany in their next two games as I want them to win
("What I think" was just stupid and undeserving of a vote)

We could do that, but would it be fair to the ones that got their images in on time?

It's especially impressive since you would had to have unlocked the thread, posted your votes and then locked it again.

Mods can post in locked threads without unlocking them.
Just post as you normally would.

Lo peeps

 Many apologies for the confusion - I headed down south for the Waddo airshow and my mobile internet dongle failed to work properly (apparently the booster aerial has been moved and the farm is now in a bad place).

Neil - I did post your pic on ImageShack (fork, spoon) honest, but it seems I didn't manage to get it into the topic before I headed south. Sorry.

OK, hopefully back on track now. How about running the voting until Saturday?

Al

PS - I have suitably chastised myself (sunburn)
