I went out last night and things happened between me and a girl from work but we were both VERY drunk.
I texted her this morning and we had a few texts between us.
I'd like to talk (properly) to her about things but I don't want to leave it til after Monday as we'll both be at work there and I don't want it to be awkward (not that it would be).
I was going to ask if she wanted to get coffee or something tomorrow morning (I'm away in the aft) but didn't want to appear to be pestering her with texts/calls etc...
So, question: if this happened with you and a guy and he did the same thing (asked you for coffee) how would you feel?
P.S. Why are girls so complex? Or is it guys who are just paranoid? Or do girls also have these same spiralling chains of paranoid thoughts about guys?

I apologise profusely but I did wonder what this thread was about.

Don't think about it, just do what your gut tells you.

Aye, don't over think it or you will end up making an awkward situation by trying to avoid it. Either ask her for coffee or just turn up at work and wink at her and give her a smile when you go in. you can then chat later. No biggy. (no pun intended )

Just be aware that she might have put the whole experience down to the alcohol. Nothing more may come of it.

True, but if you don't ask you don't get, except in extreme circumstances.

You could always ring her and talk over the phone?

I agree with Matt, do what you feel. If you want to text and ask her for coffee then do it, she'll no doubt be pleased, even if she does chalk it all up to the drink. My advice would be keep it honest and don't try to second guess her, just do what you want to do and it'll always be genuine, however it turns out.
Girls aren't particularly complex, they just work a bit differently to boys, they don't like being ignored and they tend to need esteem boosters, ask her for coffee, if she says yes then make sure you compliment something you like about her and encourage her to talk about herself (in a non-interrogatory fashion) if she says no then she may not be interested after all.

Coolio Thanks for that! I'm fine with the actual talking (surprisingly) it's just the not knowing what the other person is thinking that gets me. Thanks everyone for all the tips

Hmm. Perhaps a thread merge with the Titillating Talk Thread is in order?
