Seeing as no one has made any acknowledgement or reply to my post on the bit tech forums.

Could I possibly bother any of you with Unreal Tournament 3 to play test my map. It won't take long, just play it for a bit, like 5 mins, and then fill out the small play test form for me.

Its for my degree coursework.

I would be eternally grateful if you'd be able to.

Download Here

play test forms email to tp90@hotmail.co.uk.

Thanks

Trust me you don't.

I've now got to write a design document for it.

And the brief that the bloke has given us, is a generic one, and isn't relevant in places, and I may have completly misinterperated it and have built a level instead of a game.

Its just hell.

Out of my four modules, Computer System, Creative Client, Programming in C, Game Architecture, Design and Development, I think my favourite is Prog in C.

Thanks for the effort too. Really apprectiate it.

Hopefully I can get everything finished for the deadline, 4pm on 1st of May, :? :? :?

Was maths one of the requirements for entry to your course? ;-)

I'm being such a bitch today!

Sorry.. lol. Pedant I know. Why you doing the Design Doc after it's made? =/

:D.

Because my creative side is lacking, so I did the map, and am now reverse engineering the design doc. Probably why I'm finding it quite hard. :D

My maths is fine, 4 modules.

1. Computer Systems
2. Creative Client
3. Prog in C
4. Game Architecture, Design and Development.

Aahhh, badly placed comma, my bad, :D

And maths was one of the requirements, ;)

Wherever you are in life, always know that there'll be a grammar nazi just round the corner ready to jump out at you!

And I can imagine that maths would be a requirement - Someone I know is doing game dev and he said to me once that he doesn't enjoy gaming as much because of the sheer amount of work he has to put into it >.<

I can definatly see where he is coming from.

Actually, I've found myself playing fewer and fewer games (not doing more and more work though). Although I've just completed NFS Carbon, after playing it for about a week or two.

i agree... both with level design sucking ass [*is doing a similar course*]... and with the 'i hope i get everything done for the hand-in' [mine is also 1st of may]

UT3 is being an arse on my PC but i'll give it a spin if i get the chance...

First year doing Computer Games Programming.

Hoepfully, next year we'll get more into the actual programming when we start C++.

Ah right cool, I'm the opposite of you then I hate programming but love the creative side of things, so level design, 3DS Max etc.

We were doing Maya, and I can't stand it, I'd love to be able to use it, but its soooooo complicated and hard.

When I first opened it, and saw the sheer number of menus, my jaw dropped, :o :o

Maya and Unreal Editor [for UT2004] have been the bane of my life this past year... they're both about as stable as a shanty town in an earthquake... and Maya is just needlessly overcomplicated...
