I also saw it last year, but it's still amusing. I think I saw it on The Register whilst looking at a different article that had been linked here or there or somewhere. Don't keep your tower on the floor, especially not on a carpet in the bedroom where the cat sleeps... like mine is

Like the school PC. Sounds about right that they have nobody like an IT person who would even think of looking inside it. Reminds me of the days when we used to put old calculators in the toaster

I'll see if I can find the pics again, but we had a PC that was in the acid store for 4 years, the metal on the board was all eaten through, when it finally failed! The case was totally rusty, not surprising, when it was sitting in sulphuric acid fumes for 4 years!

I vaguely remember seeing a website with pictures of computers which have been abused. Some with animals living inside.
