Come on then - share your stories! My current neighbours are really annoying me, so I want to hear some horror stories if you have any so I feel better! ![]() |

Want a list? Neighbour kicked in brand new front door putting a hole through it because I was listening to the radio 7pm one Sunday while washing up. Reported me to the council for having decking that was approx 1.5 feet off the ground (level with the entrance to the house). Am sure it was just jealousy as he has some dodgy 70s crazy paving patio. Reported my boyfriend to council when he was signing on saying he was working when he went out and helped round a mates house one day. Am sure there's my but my dinner is ready |

We had drug dealers next door. Police weren't interested. |

Yes, the selfish tw@ts upstairs think it's perfectly acceptable to come back in after midnight and put some loud music on. I've had to ask them on several occasions to keep it down, all I get in return is a *tut* and a shrug, not even a "Sorry". They usually turn it down slightly for 5 minutes then the volume creeps up again. B@stards!! Hopefully, they'll move on in a few months, they seem the type to rack up a huge amount of debt then do a flit just before the bailiffs call. We've had some proper nutcases in various other flats over the years, one in particular was a nasty little scrote - you could hear him hitting his girlfriend/wife and I'm pretty sure he was a small-time drug dealer (he was certainly taking some) - he would come back late at night and shout from the hallway window to his mate in the car park, right outside my bedroom window. One time, I put up with it for about 15 minutes then saw red and stormed out to ask him to keep it down as it was about 3am, I got a barrage of abuse and he threatened to stab me! Told him to eff off, but I wouldn't have put it past him. Luckily, our landlord got him evicted shortly afterwards. I expect he's in prison somewhere now, least I hope he is. So, yeah, there's some nasty people out there (and they usually end up living next door!!). I'm thinking about looking around for another flat at the moment, the only thing is the company I work for is not exactly solid so it's a bit of a risk if I get made redundant. I also need to find somewhere decent that's below £600 a month rent, not an easy task! In the meantime, I've invested in some earplugs at night. ![]() |

We had "porno couple" move in next door for a few months. They always forgot to close the bedroom window when they got amorous. She was well... very vocal, for a very long time - straight out of "when Harry met Sally". Either that or he really was that good. Mind, when they left, the owners didn't have anyone else in there for a few months and their son decided to use it as a party den. You can imagine the abuse I received, when I went round there at 3am to ask them politely to keep it down a bit. First time I've punched someone since I was a teenager. |

Well there was a time when I was homeless in a bed and breakfast, so in one place had to deal with seven schizophrenics some taking their meds and some not. Three deaths in a weekend and one attempted murder. Then in another place it had so many hookers it was technically a brothel, getting knocked on the door asking for this and that, having to fend off crack dealers with problems, trying to flog gear. Then women who were trying to get away from violent partners so was attacked a few times for that. Girl in room next to me died off overdose. |

I was going to say I'd had some difficult neighbours, but actually... My ex spent a short time in social housing in what was actually a fabulous flat, but the neighbours were the kind that really grind you down from every possible angle. My experiences are relatively trivial. Typically, the kind of self-righteous prick that complains about your rock music which is barely audible but thinks it's perfectly OK to wake you up at 7am every day with classic FM and has posh parties with people laughing in silly voices until the small hours. But that's all right, because it's "culture" not "common" like my taste in music... That particular c*nt is buried under the patio next to my ex ![]() There's an expression: "A noise annoys a noisy neighbour". |

We had (registered) deaf students like that in our halls at uni. Eventually my mate went round and beat the crap out of them. |

When I moved into this place my neighbours were actually delighted. They barely knew if I was in because I was so quiet, and this was with wafer thin walls. The previous occupant was very noisy and screamed at all hours and as they were both elderly this petrified them. I was perfect for them. I used to play my music a little loud at times but I was not awkward when they moaned. It was turned down whenever they requested it. I also was quiet after 9pm so they never had any reason to complain. It is all relative. |

Highly doubt it, 9 times out of 10 the woman is faking the excitement to stroke the man's ego. |

I've never had really bad neighbours. The odd party, but they usually let you know in advance. My last flat, the woman next door used to just let the dog out in the front garden to crap, but, as I didn't use the front garden and the woman in the downstairs flat was responsible for mowing the lawn, it wasn't my problem. |
