Following on from another thread, what songs make you cry? I'll start: Christina Aguilera - Hurt

Not so much a song that made me cry, but a song I've cried to: Coldplay - AmsterdamWhen I feel sad I always want to listen to it. It got a lot of plays when I broke up with my girlfriend! I've never really been much of a believer in music changing emotions. I think people listen to songs that are reflecting how they already feel, if you know what I mean?

That's shockingly good. I've never really been a fan, but I've never doubted her talent. Annoyingly, the only song that makes me cry which I can now remember is Nine Inch Nail's "Hurt" - as performed by Johnny Cash. For anyone who's been on Mars the last 8 years: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmVAWKfJ4Go29 Million views...

A couple of Cat Stevens songs I have about fathers not being there, hit me a fair amount just after Christmas what with Faye's Dad and the accident.
Had it bean songs you get depressed and drunk to, I would have answered a large amount of the Ella Fitzgerald I have and some Beach Boy songs.

The beauty of just about anything by John Mayer hits me every time. But there are some interesting suggestions there.

Endless Love by Diana Ross and Lionel Ritchie. Takes me back to the film which was a moving story when I was a teenager.
Also My Man by Barbra Streisand which she sings at the end of Funny Lady when she realises the love of her life Omar Sharif is a total tw*t!

Leaving on a Jetplane always used to make me cry, but doesn't anymore. Otherwise there aren't any songs that make me cry.
