Sunbathing madnessOK so browsing the DM website today they have raised the issue that lots of people are still ignoring the fact that the sun is incredibly dangerous (my step father lost his first wife to skin cancer). Are you taking head of the warnings or ignoring them? When I had time off recently I sunbathed for maybe 2 hours a day when the sun was not at its peak. I used factor 15 and went down to 10 at the end of the 2 weeks. I wasn't out in it every day and I got a lovely golden colour.

When there is sun then yes.
Generally not all day though as I have better things to do and if it's a fairly nice day I'll put some sort of sun protection on.

Due to one of my jobs at work, I'm outside in all weathers between the hours of 10am and 6pm (less half an hour for lunch). It's only one-two days a week that I perform that role, but yeah, I've got an amazing t-shirt tan going on. If it's a fierce day, then on goes the Factor 30.

Went on holiday recently (Turkey, very nice thank you), got horrendous prickly heat all across my chest first day. So that put an end to that really.
In the past I've tried it and basically not tanned very much at all regardless of the amount of exposure. I think I just don't produce enough melanin or whatever it is. So I tend not to bother these days. I'd rather spend the money on a snowboarding holiday than a beach holiday anyway.

No.
I'd rather do without low-grade radiation sickness thank you very much.
And Mrs. Bucket is banned as well.

I put pie. I find sunbathing boring, but if I'm on holiday, I usually end up sitting on a lounger and dipping in and out of the pool all day on at least one of the days.

No I get enough sun walking when necessary. You only need 30 minutes a day for Vitamin D production. I do the odd chore outside and get enough sun that way. If I am out for the day I will wear a hat and sunscreen if necessary. I can't be arsed to sit in the sun doing nothing.

Occasionally in the sun/driving with the top down. Factor 20 all over, even higher on the kids.

No. I normally can't be bothered with wasting good sunlight! I tend to read first thing in the morning or on an evening. At other times I'd rather be doing stuff. Quite often that stuff is outdoors, but I'd rather not just lie there. I get fidgetty!

I voted no, but actually when I go to hot and sunny climbs I tend to wear lighter and different clothing so I tan naturally in the course of my daily activities. I'm not much for lying about for long periods of time when on hols, I need to be doing something everyday otherwise I get bored. Beach holidays even involve lots of playing games, building sandcastles, snorkeling, swimming etc etc.

You're asking a forum of computer geeks if they have tanned skin?

How do you pronounce Bucket? Is it like Bouquet?
