Hi all,

Is anyone else getting the occasional:

501 Not Implemented
The requested method is not implemented by the server.
Powered By LiteSpeed Web Server
LiteSpeed Technologies is not responsible for administration and contents of this web site!

I'm trying to edit the Linux Howto and I'm hitting the error.
I've uploaded the text file I work on locally here, I've added line 69 and deleted some notes for some other entries. Apart from that, the contents is identical to when I last edited it on the 26th June...

It appears to be a link thing, I've not tried troubleshooting today, but when I had a similar problem before it was an issue with a URL (which didn't have non-standard chars in)

I don't know if Sas or one of the web dev team has done something to the forums recently? I've ran into this problem once before a week or two ago, and just now, but it wasn't there just over a month ago..

Thanks,
Ben

Nothing's been changed.
I'll need to see if I can decipher the logs

I was trying to post a post in the linux forum. It was quite a long post and I kept getting that. I got fed up of writing the post in the end (had to do it three times) and gave up.

I've had that several times as well.

It happened yesterday just before the site became unobtainable for around 20 minutes

EDIT: It was trying to edit a thread title in the Linux Forum that did it yesterday.

Ahh, so the Linux server doesn't like people posting it's secrets.
It's evolving

I've suspected for a while that it's getting too clever by half
