I fancy going to the movies to see both of these films, but I think I may only have time to see one before they both disappear from my shoddy Cornish screens.

What would you do and why?

A-Team

It's worth a watch :) Rampage Jackson isn't too bad.... Liam Neeson in another action role (like Taken), Jessica Biel and it has it's funny moments

A-team for me too.
I never liked the Karate Kid, and I doubt I'll like the new one either.

A Team for me as well.

The Karate Kid is more than just a remake.
It's one of those rare things; it's better than the original.

In the case of Karate Kid, that isn't that hard.

I'm glad I've seen The Karate Kid and I've no plans of seeing The A-Team.

Went to see Inception last night but it was sold out, saw the A-Team instead. It actually made me smile, which is a rare thing for a film to do. Worth a watch as long as you a prepared for the onslaught of over the top rampage cheese-fest.

Yes but sometimes that is exactly what is needed. Over the top cheese fest has its place.

HobGob, you missed out. But at least you still enjoyed yourself.

Mark, you know for you to go against the grain on something like this isn't unusual, but I had a feeling about this movie and the fact that it has so much less of a profile kinda drew me to it. Hmmmm......

I was leaning A-Team, but know I have a real decision to make!

I was also going to suggest the Karate Kid - I've heard nothing good about the A-Team. Also, the idea of Jackie Chan as Mr Miyagi appeals.
A-Team? I'll wait for the DVD.

Then you'll miss out. I pity the fool who doesn't see the A-Team on a big screen :D
Seriously, if you remember and liked the original A-Team then the film is very much in the spirit.

I suspect it's the original that's putting people off seeing it. As I've said, it's so much better than the film it's based on. You really can view them as distinct entities.
I enjoyed The A-Team on TV. I still watch the repeats now and again, I just have no desire to watch this film on a big screen.
I do seem to be in the minority here of people that have seen The Karate Kid. I guess martial arts isn't as popular now as it once was.
Parachuting tanks and big explosions seems to be where it's at for the cool kids these days.

Parachuting tanks and big explosions have always been cool. I would love to see A-Team.

But coming of age via kung fu, with Jackie Chan as your guru is clearly a whole different ball game. If I'm lucky, I'll get to see them both, but on the off chance I don't - I'm gonna go for Karate Kid first.
