So to day is the last day of the election campaigns. Apart from TV broadcasts, what contact from the main parties have you had?

I have had leaflets from most parties, though I’ve not seen one from Labour. There has been no canvassing (unless it happens today), and any leaflets I have had have been cut and paste efforts with a slot for “local news”. Given that these are partly local elections, I would have expected more on that subject.

It’s like the last general election - I feel the attempts to glean my views and canvass my opinion have been lacklustre. When I used to live in Watford, we would have people knocking on doors. Here in somewhat rural Essex, it seems that my opinions are not of interest. I think we are in a safe Tory area, which is why the others don’t bother.

I feel letters to the leaders of the Big Three on this may be written.

Leaflets, mainly. No real physical people on the stump at all.

I've been on the Jury Team email list, so I've been getting their stuff, but that's a bit like shipping snow to Eskimos.

I did spot some Greens out on the street in Totnes, but that's a fairly safe bet.
Haven't seen anybody around here. Then again, Torbay has more Conservative Clubs than anywhere I've lived before.
We're still a Lib-Dem seat though, IIRC. :?

In fairness Paul, you could just as well be talking about the forum ;) :P

Ok, back on topic... I don't recall having seen any leaflets and we haven't had any people at the door, except the window cleaner, and I don't think he's running...

Ho hum

We've had leaflets from everyone except Labour, we've even had a letter from David Cameron saying that if we can't physically get to the polling station, the Conservative party will send a car round for us!! :o

No actual people yet, but we're not exactly "on the beaten track" so TBH I'd be surprised :D

He's a nice man, that Mr Bandwagon. I'd be tempted to get the Cons to take me to the polling station, perhaps take in a bit of shopping, and when asked how I voted say anything but Conservative.

I've had personally addressed election material, but no canvassing. I guess you only get that in marginal seats/areas.

As of yesterday. I have had a personal letter from the Lib Dems, a standard letter from the Tories, a leaflet from the greens and BNP. From labour sweet FA. I think Im just not liked by Labour

We got material from one party.

Justice for all or something like that - they had a couple of policies on the leaflet and they were complete cod [LIFTED] as that bloke off the apprentice would say.

Our seat had been Tory for years until the Lib Dems won it the time before last. They made some absolutely monumental cock-ups and wasted HUGE amounts of money, so the Tories promptly smashed them in the last election. I think people are expecting them to do the same this time around.

Just had a leaflet dropped through the door for the "Pensioner's Party" - I'm 22, I wonder if I'll vote for them... :?

Nothing from anyone, not a sausage. I think it's pretty piss poor really. They don't deserve my vote.
