Alternatives for getting to me from Medway? Fly? Train? Car?

Can you get to City or Gatwick easily? Or would it be quicker to get into town and then down from Paddington on the train?

From Chatham you can get to either Ashford or ebbsfleet and catch the javlin trains into London. Frok there you could either fly( assuming city airport do flights down to Cornwall) or cross london and get the train from Paddington or train down to Gatwick via the Gatwick express

No direct route then? The train would presumably go from Medway to London, then you get across town on the tube to Paddington. That's already enough changes. If there was a direct way to City or Gatwick, it would make flying worth it. Air Southwest go from either to NQY.

Hi, sorry I'm late here. Been out getting bored in Maidstone.

Chatham is not really on a direct route to anywhere, unless you count the M2.

The fast Javelins run through via Rainham to Ebbsfleet and then St Pancras. There's a fairly frequent coach service from a mob called Kings Ferry, which runs up to Victoria. You could charter a private plane from Rochester Airport to any of the smaller airports around the capital...

To get to Gatwick, you'd need the train to London, traipse from London Bridge or Victoria across to Waterloo and catch the train to the airport.

I don't think there's any really easy way to get to Gatwick or London City by public transport without a change or two along the way. :|

Probably a bit late now, but the Gatwick Express goes into Victoria (arrives platform 13 or 14) and then the train from Victoria to Chatham (departs from platforms 1-7).

HTH.

Thanks Richard, but yeah a little. The young lady in question boarded a regular train this morning and will then get a tube across town, before taking the Paddington - Penzance to get to me.

Faff to be sure, but I think I expressed my sentiments on said county quite eloquently earlier ;)

Hey, we don't want to make it that easy for migrants to infiltrate the rest of the country!

Around parts of Kent anyone from the next village is a foreigner and should be burnt as a witch

We're okay here. All the different bits that were Rainham, Gillingham, Luton, Chatham, Rochester and Strood have merged into an unholy alliance called "Medway".

I still don't like the place, even though I've lived here 25 years now.
