Just been to the work fridge to get my lunch and someone had moved it. I think that's out of order. I've also had someone put greasy leaking tupperware on top of mine before. It only happens when I'm at the big corporation Discovery. When I'm at the other office nothing like that ever happens.
Am I just being a girl and moaning or would it piss you off too?

I do move stuff, usually because some people think it's fine if they scatter things around the shelves and leave little or no room for anyone else. Generally, however, I try to leave their stuff alone. But I still think you're being a moaning little girl.

I have my own fridge, so no problem, but I suppose it depends on the general nature of the office. If it's a big corporate one I would expect to have my stuff messed with and probably wouldn't use the fridge on that basis. Smaller places where you know everybody is a little nicer. I don't think you're moaning, perhaps just being unrealistic.

Why did they move it? If it was sitting in the middle of a shelf and nobody else could use that shelf unless yours was moved then fine, move it. Was it moved maliciously?

Yes I'll move it but I won't spit on it.

I only move stuff to make space, and only if I have to. You should see the amount of Coke I have in the work fridge - it'd look funny if I started complaining

Yes, I'll move things. I go through our fridge once a month and chuck out all the science experiments etc, tidy up and put all the long-term things (butter, salad dressings etc) in one place to make space for the day-to-day stuff. I occasionally have to move peoples lunch to make room, there are about 60 people using our small fridge so it gets pretty busy in there.

Same as the others, if there isn't space, I'll re-arrange things, or accept that others must move my things around, in order to get their items in the fridge. Moving it, for the hell of it, is probably out of order, but if you have something in the middle of the shelf and they have a large Tupperware pot to get in, I can understand them moving yours to one side, so it isn't crushed, for example.

At my work food is provided so anybody can help them selves to anything. In the office though people bring their own stuff and label it. You're not allowed to take it, but I don't know if moving it is acceptable. I guess people do it to try and fit everything in.

I like to conform to stereotype sometime No idea why they moved it. There's plenty of room in there. The only time I move stuff is when there's so much in the fridge I can't find mine! That's changed since we had 2 fridges installed when we moved offices. Feel really bad now. We're all sat here stuffing our faces and one of the guys is fasting for ramadan. Ops

Don't. Those of us that are religious and practise fasting don't generally feel ill will towards those who eat when we don't. The discomfort is all part of the observance and he will more than likely feast tonight and enjoy it all the more. Just don't rub it in.

OK I won't then. I'm not directly next to him anyway so he can't really see me.

As with the above, move it only if it has to be done.
What's more disturbing is when you've enclosed your lunchbox in a carrier bag, wrapped it up tight to minimise the amount of space taken and tucked it away, only to return at lunchtime and find the bag has been opened (though the lunch APPEARS to have been untouched)!!!

If it's in the way of course I'll move it. Who gives a crap? I mean, really.
