Are Apple retards? I only ask because who in their right mind puts in a "feature" such as iTunes automatically deciding to stop updating my podcasts without any way of the user being able to stop said behaviour in the options?

I find it stops updating if I don't listen to the 'casts regularly. I just click on the silly (!) icon and tell it to keep updating, thankyouverymuch.

+1 Especially if you go on a long break.

I don't mind really. If I want the stuff I missed I just click "get all". Still it might be nice if you could adjust the interval.

Yes but you literally have to scan through all your podcasts looking for those to download.

I've had a look, and there doesn't appear to be any terminal magic either

I have around a hundred podcasts and they come out daily or weekly. That means after a long break you have to go through every podcast to find the missing ones Get all does not always work.

Yes several hours a day listening to them. I do like the ones that actually use the chapters so you can actually skip through them. Though very few use that facility.
