Cable FTW but only if you happen to be in a cable area and don't mind being tied to a 12 or 18 month minimum contract.

I must confess to being tempted by Virgin Cables triple pack deals (TV, Broadband and Phone) but I'm put off by their reputation for pants customer service. Download caps probably wouldn't affect me too much as I don't tend to download huge amounts in one go.

VM's customer service is a contradiction in terms

True their customer service us terrible, but luckily the service is pretty reliable and very rarely goes wrong.

I had a few outages for as long as a couple of days, but other than that the service is fine. The caps are a problem for an unlimited service.
