Hi,
is anyone able to provide some advice and guidance on unix scripting specifically for IBM, AIX?

I have a server that runs a cron job and from this job runs other scripts. Currently each script runs 180 seconds after the previous irrespective of whether the job fails or not.


I have just started to look into this but have to admit that I do not much understand shell scripting

I have a good knowledge of UNIX shell scripting (mainly Bash) and a basic understanding of Perl within UNIX.
