We have a small office space in London we rent. Basically it has 4 desks so sales guys can pop-in off the street, do some work etc and then go out again.

They are all using laptops and so we got them a blue-tooth printer so they can all share it. There is no network set-up.

Now that all works fine however if they then connect in to head office using Citrix, that does not see their blue-tooth printer and so they cannot print to it.

My thoughts were getting a 5-port gigabit switch - something like this http://www.dabs.com/products/netgear-gs ... -2X1X.html plugging the printer in 1 port and then running normal cat-5 cable from the 4 desks into the other spare slots on the switch.

Would that work?

That or a wireless access point.

How are they connecting to head office at the moment? 3G or do you have an access point and DSL? If so, can't you set up the printer to use WLAN instead of BT?

They are connecting in to Citrix using 3G via USB dongles.

Is there a login script manager you can run to change their default printer? I'm not sure how it works without a network logon...

I'm seeing a lot of people posting that they can't print with Bluetooth, but no replies - going back to 2004... :?

Found a workable solution to this.

Went to the office and installed a router to act as just a DHCP server. Plugged the printer into a lan, plugged a laptop into another and we could then see the printer as a networked printer. Hopped the user on to Citrix and it saw this printer and we could print fine. :P
