Got boss's new one connected up to my Macbook Pro and iTunes is open. Colleague says it sometimes takes a while to show up. It's been 10 minutes now and not showing in iTunes. Have rebooted Macbook and iPad.

Any ideas?

Mine shows up much quicker than that - sod's law I've left it at work today so I can't check it right now - I haven't synced it to iTunes since August but when I did it was a typical ipod/iphone-style ten-second connection, not ten minutes...

I suppose the other thing to check would be the cable, and maybe try one of the other USB ports?? Other than that I'm stumped, sorry.

Kaspersky Internet Security suite for the PC can sometimes prevent iTunes from seeing the iPhone/iPod.

Dunno if it has the same issue on the Mac version; assuming your boss even has Kapersky installed.
