My boss has just had his iPhone 3GS (his 3rd one in 18 months, the battery and internal components keep frying on him - he does tend to talk for at least 3 hours a day on it) replaced with an iPhone 4.

The general reception for the 3G signal is much worse than his 3GS, where he had a steady 3 bars before, he will get 1 bar now and the speech keeps breaking up.

Worse is the WLAN and Bluetooth reception, they are also much worse than before.

He currently has a Plantronics Discovery 925 bluetooth headset, which worked fine with the iPhone 3GS, meaning he could leave the iPhone on his desk and talk. With the iPhone 4, he has to keep the phone within about 20cm of the headset!

I suspect there may be a defect with the bluetooth antenne in the phone, but can anybody recommend a decent BT headset, which works well with the iP4?

Yes, he is on 4.3.

I'll take a look at the Jawbone, it was recommended on the Daily GizWiz a while back as well, so that sounds good.

Thanks
