Has anyone here ever used a Swype keyboard?

A friend of mine showed me his phone with it on and it is truly amazing!

I was instantly typing a lot faster than I ever have on my iPhone.

I wonder if there will ever be anything like this for the iPhone?

Just had a play on the HTC HD, and to be honest I'm not quick with it yet. Really struggled to get some words in, and I can't figure out how to correct a word - it says double-tap but that brings up the copy/paste menu on top of the correction menu!

I guess it's like anything, only practice will tell. Perhaps the HTC with Huge Dimensions just doesn't need it - I get 120 wpm just tapping like a normal keyboard.

I would hope so, it does look great from the videos I've seen.

Off topic: Apple should show the correct case on their keyboard as well.

That is the first thing I said when my dad showed me his original iPhone. I went to type and the case didn't change and it completely threw me.

His argument was that the case on a normal keyboard doesn't change but this isn't a normal keyboard, it's a software keyboard it can do anything.

One of them is for correcting a word.

I wonder if they'll produce an iOS control. Could be interesting as an option.

Nope, No apps that duplicate functionality allowed on the app store, same reason you can't get Winamp and the same reason Firefox is a lame bookmark extension for Safari

I did see that, but it doesn't work. Double-tap brings up the correction menu, but it also brings up the copy/paste menu which appears on top and totally obscures it making it unworkable.
