In Windows 7, it looks lush. Windows in Windows 7 have the transparent bit even when full screen so it doesn't look so "Fisher Price" as you put it - it looks awesome. Under Windows XP and Vista, I must admit, it's not a good looking browser. I use the Safari 4 beta under Mac OS X.

have been using safari 3.2.3 for awhile but i keep FF as a backup browser

i have found these safari add ons help …

glims (tweak tool)

I think it was the Aughton who posted a link to a different article about the same issue.

I've only had a quick skim read of that link you posted, but Aughton's link said it was a recognised bug in Leopard and that in Tiger it works correctly. His post was in the FSeventer thread.
