White 4 isn't 'next gen', it's current gen in a different colour

Same that a DS Lite is a pseudo update from the original DS, no real hardware change

I don't think Didge was claiming the white iBone was classed as a new model.

Thats quite correct Heather. I was stating that there will be a next gen iphone this summer, DESPITE the fact that a white iPhone has appeared.

Apple has a history of 'stop gap' products - I think the white iphone 4 is one ... and a white iphone4S / iphone 5 will be available in a few months (along with a black model of course).

That is probably why they are delaying the 5 till September or thereabouts.
