OK, just turned my Linux PC on again as my Mac is slowly but surely dying.
There was an auto update notification so I clicked "Yes" and let it go about updating.
No idea what version I'm on now... can't actually find the "About" bit.
However, OMFG, it's fricking gorgeous!
I now have a quick launch type bar on the left hand side with my most used programs, the virtual desktop thing is amazing, I love this!
Brilliant update!

Nice to know at least one person likes it, and hasn't immediately switched back to the "classic" desktop Maybe it's time I gave it another go...

I tried to like Unity. I really did... but it's gone now. Wouldn't have been quite so bad if I could have shrunk the darned launch-pad thing and moved it somewhere less in the way. Like onto the menu panel. Even in Windows, I still prefer the good old-fashioned menu because my "frequently used" list just won't fit on the screen. And I have a BIG screen.
Ironically, it would be OK on my laptop because I only really use a handful of applications on it. Shame one of those is most definitely Windows only.
