Hi all,
I have the lovely task of amending my very first InDesign job - a 230+ page catalogue - lucky me! Anyway, the artwork, along with all of the links, fonts etc has bee supplied on an external HD, and I have copied all I need to my system, and have been trying to relink the images most of the blinkin' day.
To start with, I shift-clicked all of the images in the Links pallette (all 1,242 of them) and clicked Relink to folder... and navigated to where I have the images stored. It took around about an hour for the progress bar to finish, and then it hung for another half-an-hour or so with the rotating beach ball before I ended up force quitting.
I am now trying to select smaller batches of images, but even when I do just one, and that successfully gets updated, ID insists on then running through every single image again with the previous progress bar showing, even when I only selected a single image. Clicking cancel stops this process, and the image in question shows as updated, but nothing else has been.
How can I stop this silly need to cancel the progress bar when I only want to update one image?
Thanks in advance,
Jonathan
