I've got two low end pixma printers. Perfectly happy with them so far but I'm not a heavy user so speed and toner costs are not much of an issue.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Same here, happy with my occasional-use 3+ year old iP1600 that seems to keep printing well long after the software says the ink has runs out!

Well I've just received mine. Can't believe how quickly it prints photos - 45 seconds is amazing when the old printer would take about three times longer do print a lower res photo.

Ink cartridges are ridiculously tiny though and will need to think about the best places to go.
