I have tried a number of times now to copy my music from an IPOD to my laptop but cannot find a way to do this.

I assume it is an ITUNES tunes thing.

Has anyone been able to copy this way?

I don't think iTunes allows you to do it on the basis that you might be using it to give all the music on your iPod to a friend...

There are various tools out there, none of which I've tried I'm afraid. Try Googleing something like "iPod Ripper".

It's been a few years, but I used iPodCopy (now called TouchCopy) when my son last fcuked up his iTunes library - worked as advertised, no dramas. Was about fifteen quid, I think.
