Just been to a talk today by Ben Nunney about the competition at a local uni, seen some great ideas previously (last year someone I did my placement with got to the final with his idea) and decided as I'm not eligible to enter (graduated too long ago and wasn't eligible in final years at uni due to working for MS) I have put myself forward for possibly mentoring the local students this year.

Can't be involved in writing code/creating ideas but I can be involved in the discussion of them which is an appealing way to improve myself

Looks like a good way to learn (both myself with different approaches to problems and for them), and the prizes for students are pretty darn good :)
