I've set up a user's account in Mac Mail to connect to the company exchange server using EWS. However while Mail syncs folders such as Inbox, Sent, etc it does not download any of the sub folders in Inbox. Has anyone come across this before and know how to fix it so Mail will sync all folders?

can you give us the version number of Mail and Exchange? That would help a lot.

I don't think certs are likely to be the issue - if that was the case, you'd either get no connection at all or a cert warning dialogue. It might be worth trying outlook 2011 for Mac if you can get hold of a copy - that also uses EWS so if you get the same problem with that then the EWS config is likely the problem.

IIRC, Mac Mail actually uses a lot of it's IMAP code for EWS, so it might be worth pulling up the Mail activity window and seeing if you get a line about something like 'checking for subscribed folders' when it opens the mailbox. If this was IMAP, the fact the folders aren't subscribed properly would definitely be my first choice.

Other than that, can you see the folders correctly if you go in via OWA? Could be a problem with the rights inheriting down from the mailbox root.

Jon

Outlook anywhere is set up correctly. It is not certs. I did set up my Mac mail and it worked just fine with my mailbox. Will try again if I can get access to the Mac in question today. I can check the mailbox settings and any other permissions.
