I've opted for the HP Officejet 8000. It's a beast of a printer size wise and at least feels solidily made. Setup was a total faff, cyan didn't work for the alignment for about an hour, but all well so far now, so we shall see. But I got it for £100 which isn't bad considering the output quality, which looks as sharp as a laser on plain paper and it's very quick. Only set it up on the PC so far over Ethernet, will network onto the Mac later.
