Anyone here use Steam (on OS X 10.6.8 for preference)?
I've been offered a voucher/code for Civ 5 but it requires Steam to play (sounds a bit like it's coal fired).

Yeah, I use Steam from time to time.
Really nothing bad about it in my experience.
Any specific query?

+1, I've got a couple of 'steam cross format play' games through it that I'd previously bought on PC. It seems to work fine.

I use Steam for the majority of my gaming on Mac, including Civ5. Works great.

Thanks for the feedback folks. Just wondered if there was anything to watch out for with it.

Only that you might find your disposable income being spent on the Half Life series and Civ spin offs...

Or buying far too many games than you have the hours to play during the Steam sales.

FWIW I now have FAR more games on the Mac than when I got rid of the custom overclocked beast claiming I was "giving up PC gaming!"
