Only joking lol this ISP is doing a good job. :)

The ISP is me, it's running on my server in my rack in a datacentre. I like having the control over the hardware.
+ I can see hosting providers moaning when databases start swelling.

Wait a minute....
http://www.dreamhost.com/limited-time-s ... n-now.html

On another note, I have my domain now. Any ideas how I can do something like this:
The hosting root directory is MY domain.
Under my domain I have a directory called "thepurpleone"
I have the domain "thepurpleone.com" point to the directory "mydomain.com/thepurpleone"
"thepurpleone.com/gallery" would really point to "mydomain.com/thepurpleone/gallery" but her domain would be preserved in the address bar...

Is that possible?

I hope that's clear, looking back it looks a bit of a mess, but I'm not sure how else to explain it...

Cheers,
Ben

It should be possible. There's an option in the Dreamhost CP somewhere for the URLs so that when they re-direct they keep the same URL and hide the real URL, if that makes sense.

Using Cpanel with my host, what you want to do is associate your domain as the primary one, and then the purple one's is an "addon domain".

Aye, I think I've found out how...I just need to get some idea of what she wants it to be called then I can buy the domain and test it out...

All that is very straightforward, and standard forquare.

Even if a host won't let you do it from their control panel, it can be easily done with a .htaccess file so don't worry! :)
