According to new information from the China Times translated by BrightWire, Apple is planning to release the iPhone 5S alongside a larger phone, deemed the "iPhone Math" by the report.

Because the iPhone Math name is highly unusual and does not fit in with Apple's traditional naming scheme, it is not clear if it is a code name or a potential mistranslation, although the actual "iPhone Math" terms appears in English in the China Times report.

More iPhone rumour BS, if you ask me. But the rumour mill seems to crave such things, and an Apple TV. None of which have appeared.

'iPhone math'? Who in their right mind thinks that's even a possible name for any product that Apple might consider foisting on the public.

Trivia point : Nobody outside Apple ever knows what a product is actually going to be called until it's launched. Notice all iPhones now simply have the word 'iPhone' on the back, not a model name (e.g. 'iPhone 3GS')? Why is that? So nobody in the manufacturing chain can leak the name of a new product before it launches. They specifically design the products to prevent that happening.

Anyone who says 'I heard from a Chinese/Taiwanese manufacturer that the next iPhone is going to be called <whatever>' is lying. Because the manufacturers aren't told what the product's final name is going to be.

+1 In fact the specs of the last iPhone were kept secret right till the end. It was longer but the same width. A new connector. Few saw that coming. All thought that Apple should copy Samsung and get a bigger phone, but having seen the Galaxy 3 I was not that impressed. Some features are nice like the screen but it is still copying the iPhone in many ways.
