Hi all,

Finally got the Atom board after TNT refusing to deliver it twice, and the seller charging me an extra tenner because of it...

It's all together (pics to follow), but when I try to boot it off my (known to work) Live USB stick, I get this error just after POST:
Quote:
Invalid system disk
Replace the disk, and press a key

I've tried different USB ports, I've unplugged the SATA hard drive incase it didn't like that...Not sure what else to do...Tried the same Live USB stick on my ThinkPad and it works fine...I'm booting from "USB HDD"...

Any ideas what's wrong?

Well, I never knew IDE drives were so slow! It took almost an hour to install  I'm sure it's not the CPU as I've installed the same OS on an old P3 with half the RAM from the Live USB stick and it did it in half an hour...

Anyhoo, it's built and running something which is all I could ask for :D
It has been named "Celebrana" which means "Silver Wanderer" in Elvish (All my machines have Elvish names), seeing as the machine is silver and it'll be travelling up to uni with me, I thought that was an apt name :D

The chassis, bulkier than I thought, but still has very little room to manoeuvre inside!

The doody system board sitting inside

The DVD ROM drive from my server sitting on top as I install OpenSolaris, need to do some more tests on that flash drive...
