I don't really feel the need to answer a question phrased in such a way, to be honest with you.

Are you a woman? I have a strong suspicion you are a woman...

Are you cheeky? </bratty>

I have to admit your posts come across as incredibly supercilious. I'm sure you don't mean it that way, and that you are an affable person in real life. The medium of text communication is fraught with such difficulties of interpretation.

Well, in fairness, he could've sat back and thought 'Need I phrase that in such a way that I sound like a [LIFTED], when clearly I'm not?'
Instead he didn't, and hit 'Submit'.

I am straight to the point, I get that from my job, I have to do things quickly and accurately, often at moment's notice.
I ask straight and clear questions and I expect clear answers.
I don't have time for song and a dance. I also give clear and straight answers to others and luckily I work with same minded people.

I asked Jon a clear question, he decided to give me a song and dance (which in his case is usually followed by war and peace)
So I decided to cut the song short and asked in the way that he'd definitely understand. I didn't want waste any more time on this.

I still insist there is nothing wrong with my second question.

Btw, I had to google "supercilious" and I absolutely love it. It is my new favourite word now. And yes, I do agree that I might come across that way. But it usually gets the job done when I deal with a "song and a dance" person. Is there a word for that as well? If so please let me know, I will get to use it a lot.

And I am very affable (had to google that too, eng. is my 2nd language), with people who don't waste my time.
Or with people who waste my time and I can't be supercilious towards them. High enough superiors, family and friends, genuinely slow people etc...

You and me, we should chat more often, I love your vocabulary. All these advanced words you use, they are so to the point, just like I need to be. And I mean it in a nice way, I am not just trying to supercilious to get what I want.
