Freeway Pro may well be better for you if...

One question about pro:
Out of the box, or with free add-ons, will it make creating a gallery easier or/and more automated? Linking a few hundred images would probably make the purple one make me sit in the driving seat to make edits to her gallery...Ideally, some way of pointing to a folder and going "That. Gallery. Now!"

Not out of the box, but with my Action Writers hat on, I have an Action which does just that. There is a free AND a paid for version. The paid for version does a lot more than the free one. Basically, apply the Action to a table item and point the Action to a folder of images (or select an iPhoto album), hit a button and you get a gallery.

It will create galleries like the ones you find here:

That looks good Paul, I think I'll try and tempt the purple one into giving me some money and I'll jump in with Pro and add the action on a little later.

I thought iLife was a lot cheaper than it actually is, I'll have to wait for a while before I buy that I think, maybe stick with iLife '08 on the MacBook and hope for that Mac Pro as that would come with the current iLife package...

I think iLife only comes with the iMacs and not the Pros, but I may be wrong.

:( Ah well, I shall have to see then, if I get the Mac Pro it'll be around the time that SL comes out, so I may get the pack of iLife/iWork/SL providing they do it..

Got it on my Mac Pro last summer. iLife is standard with any Mac.

I have just placed an order for Freeway 5 Pro :D
Around September/October time I'll probably be looking a bit more at your Action for the gallery Paul, the purple one will be by my side and will be commanding where things go and how things will look :P
