Seems to be mostly about Boot Camp and Windows 8, although there is a new version of Safari for those who use it.

I've noticed the problem in Messages where messages are showing in the wrong order.
Other than that I haven't seen any of the other reported problems that it is fixing.

So, in ML, is it safer to trust the App Store/Software Update these days or go for the combo version (I'm a little surprised they still do those to be honest)?

I had always done the combo updates. But since ML I've happily gone through the App Store.

I've downloaded the combo as I like to have it there in case of emergencies anyway.
I'll wait a few days to see if any glaring problems appear before applying.
