I'm looking for a blog system to use for my website... www.oliverfoggin.comAt the moment I use wordpress but I don't really like it. There are too many options. I just want a simple, clean looking site. The only things (what are they called?) I know about are... Wordpress Tumblr and Blogger but I don't know enough to compare them or to know what's good etc... Any ideas?

I use cms made simple which has a news module, but that might be more complicated than you want as it's a site + news section, where all you want is a news section. With cms made simple you also have to create your own skin as the supplied ones are a bit gash.

Can't you strip Wordpress down to make it simple and clean?
I'd browse a few custom themes before giving up on it.

Thanks for the push. I went out to look for a better (simpler) theme. I found one, it's not amazing but it'll do for now. AND I was able to edit it slightly. It's the first time I've done anything more than some test php stuff. My changes... 1. Only show 5 latest posts on the homepage. 2. Only show the excerpts in the homepage. 3. While doing this still show the full post in the single post page. I wasn't quite sure how to add a parameter to a file so I had to create an additional file so code reuse is bad but it worked.

Wordpress is ace.
I use it for both my main photography site and my blog.

I wish I could.
I'm really not a designer and I'm not a web developer.
Having looked at the Wordpress theme I downloaded I could possibly write a theme myself but it'd take a lot of effort.
