There's a mistake in the article where I think they meant Vista, but other than that this might interest a few people... I haven't given the article much thought since I won't be buying 7 I should point out ;)

I still have a problem with the idea of paying for a service pack, but I guess it is a step in the right direction with regards to Windows licensing costs.

im still undecided on this, on the one hand, this is a tremendous deal, and i dont want to miss it, but on the other hand im fine with vista ATM, and how long is it before Win7 Ultimate appears on Ultimate Steal for half the price?

I don't think that article is correct when saying it is for only netbooks. Anyway, it is not available in the UK until 15th July:
