This is an interesting little lesson for people to take to heart: the world does not necessarily work the way you think it does. More specifically, the laws in other places and countries can be very different indeed from what you think they are. This little example is that Steve Jobs managed to invalidate a European patent of Apple's AAPL -0.87% through showing off the product on stage. This was held to be prior art: and the point is that in the US it would not be so considered, here in Europe it is so considered.
